Brutalist Connection — Temporary Notice

Following the passing of architect and researcher Ruth Verde Zein, the Brutalist Connection website has been entrusted to the Casa da Arquitetura Moderna Paulista (CAMP).

The Brazilian and earlier version of Ruth’s work, hosted at arquiteturabrutalista.com.br, together with the entire research collection she produced, has also come under our stewardship. Both the Brutalist Connection platform and arquiteturabrutalista.com.br are temporarily offline while we rebuild the digital infrastructure.

All of Ruth’s research and the complete listing of what was previously available on these websites are securely preserved under CAMP’s care. Her legacy remains alive so that current and future generations can continue to study, research, and deepen the knowledge she dedicated her life to.

For this reason, our team is developing a completely new platform from the ground up, adopting Web 3.0 standards, updated metadata structures, and preservation-oriented technologies to ensure long-term accessibility and global reach.

The new Brutalist Connection is expected to return in early 2026, honoring Ruth’s legacy and expanding the project for researchers, students, and all those passionate about modernist and brutalist architecture.
